Located 2 minutes walk from the cathedral, and with free car parking, this is a gem. Rooms are basic, but clean and comfy. Staff are friendly. For £62 (summer 17, twin room) it feels good value.

We spent several nights here on the tail end of a pilgrimage from Paris to Chartres. The atmosphere is quite lovely. The rock garden, labyrinth, and views are wonderful. The breakfast downstairs each morning is well worth 10 euros - meat, cheese, various breads, fruits, cereals, yogurts - you name it! The rooms are simple yet nice. The bathrooms are small in American terms. We slept with our window open, and the room door open also (to pull a breeze from the hallway), it feels that safe!

Charming historic building, a former 17th century monastery, it offers beautiful view of Chartres, bedroom very comfortable and impeccably clean. 50 steps from the world famous cathedral. Free parking. Breakfast is not included, but it is served in an amazing room. Staff is very friendly and did everything to help their guests. They absolutely deserve 5 stars. Wonderful find.
Staff couldn't be more helpful.
Magnificent location, although quite hard to find by sat-nav. (ask a local!)
Beautiful views and surrounds.
