Excellent accueil (Marion est une hôte d'exception! ), joli cadre et plats soignés et délicieux. Essayez aussi les chambres d'hôtes et le petit déjeuner! ! J'ai testé pour vous ;) vous reviendrez.

Amazing food, great selection of wines and really lovely staff. I recommend the pigeon, was absolutely beautiful!

Foie gras was good (although I've had better) but completely ruined by the heap of sickly sweet onion jam and a so-so homemade brioche.

But the biggest disappointment was the dessert. I ordered a strawberry tartlet with vanilla ice-cream. It is the sort of simple dish that needs to be un-messed with and perfectly executed. But it seems that the kitchen may lack a pastry chef. The pastry was well cooked and crisp but had both the texture and flavour of digestive biscuits. The amount of salt in the pastry made it almost inedible (although I ate mine out if courtesy). And why place a sprig of mint on top of a tart? That's just irritating. It seems that this kitchen like many of the others in the region follows the rull of putting at least one inappropriate ingredient on each plate.

A superb menu; a brilliantly restored building; outstanding food prepared with great skill; and attentive and caring service without bring intrusive - all combine to deliver a memorable dining experience. Worth every cent. We visit this part of France every year and dine at least twice at L'Ocre Rouge each time we are there. We tell everyone about it.

The vegetarian option was just insulting. An 'assiette of seasonal vegetables' consisted of a larger portion of the sides that were served with the meat dishes. You cannot charge people for a main course and then serve them sides!

And please hire a pastry chef or simplify the dessert menu.

Good quality ingredients and properly cooked meats. In particular the pigeon was perfectly cooked and delicious. However, the vegetable accompaniments were hit and miss. The carrot purée was bland and tasted mostly of fennel seeds. The courgette 'spaghetti' was nice on its own but didn't have a place next to the pigeon. Roasted tomato and pesto next to a roasted pigeon wrapped in smoky bacon was just one step too confusing. The spelt 'risotto' was nice and the only accompaniment that belonged together with the pigeon.

Excellent staff very friendly and food wonderful. Would definitely recommend this place.

The best thing about the whole meal was the wine that was recommended by our waitress (Mas des Capitelles), rich with black fruits and an irony note. A perfect match for the pigeon. Shame that it was tipped out of balance by the fennely carrot purée, the pesto and the courgette...

The kitchen is obviously trying to do something different and probably does it better than some of the other local restaurant, however, non of the dishes as a whole were satisfactory. A typical case of too many things going on the plate and distracting from the main element.
