Mieux vaut être intéressé par le sujet sinon c'est un peu austère. On notera la grande qualité de la visite guidé. Les intervenants sont passionnés et on ne voit pas le temps passer tout en apprenant énormément de choses.

Fabulous small museum. Worth it for the demonstration of an original jacquard weaving machine (I think this happens at 3.30 each afternoon). The gift shop sells nice scarves

Small but perfectly formed museum, with interesting overview of the history of silk weavers in Lyon. The shop attached also has some beautiful silk gifts.

Amazing small museum dedicated to the Lyon silk weavers. Only two rooms, but come on the right day, and you get demonstrations. A can't miss for a fabric enthusiast. Fascinating for an engineer to figure out how the equipment works.

Loved this museum, went in with a vague knowledge of Jacquard Looms, but learned all about the history of silk making and its influence on the city and wider culture, more about the history of different people involved in the development of Jacquard Looms and the subsequent impact on workers rights. Fascinating, great staff and a lovely shop too!

The history of silk in lyon. Also the history of technology with Jacquard. If you plan to visit lyon you have to go there.
