I have stayed at this beautiful B&B quite a few times and going back this June for the D Day celebrations,(about an hour away) it is situated in nice quiet countryside but within a five minute drive to shops bars etc.
Over the years I have witnessed this old building being renovated by the hosts Dian & Chris who have put their heart and soul into this building.
It takes me about an hour from Caen and about fifty minutes from Cherbourg (by motor cycle) yes they are motor cycle friendly with mine host with a Bonneville.
Meals are very good with great helpings to set the day off right..

We stayed in the family suite (2 adults and 3 children) in March 2016 and it was just perfect. The room was fantastic - lovely comfy double bed, wonderful living area, separate bedroom for the children with comfy single beds, lots of storage for clothes and a fantastic bathroom. A giant bath tub and brilliant shower. There were tea/coffee making facilities, iron, access to mini fridge, plenty of towels, mini dressing gowns and ones for the grown ups. A home for home. Book it you won't be disappointed. The owners - Chris and Diane are welcoming and very helpful with their local knowledge. We will be back!

We stayed at La Poire Grange for five nights.
Its tranquil location is ideal if you want to get away from hotel chains and the hustle and bustle of the city.
The standard of the accommodation is excellent, high quality fittings and fixtures; the traditional French breakfast, free parking and WiFi all make staying at La Poire Grange a pleasure.
Your hosts Chris and Diane make you feel at home the moment you arrive, nothing is too much trouble, with plenty of advice on how to see the main attractions of the area should you need it.
I should add that you will need the map sent by Diane when your booking is confirmed, do not rely on the SatNav, it will get you lost.

We have stayed here twice now & each time we have received a warm welcome from Chris & Diane.
It is situated in a peaceful area of a small village, although not far from the picturesque village of Villedieu les poeles, Chris & Diana are more than helpful with information on places to eat & have a great knowledge of the area, which we found really useful.
Breakfast was lovely & the accommodation has everything you need for a good nights sleep, Comfy bed, tea & coffee in your room, well designed & immaculately clean bathroom. All in all a great place to stay & has the benefit of being close to lots of beautiful place's to see e.g. Mont St.Michael , beautiful beaches at Granville, just to name a couple.

Nous avons passé une nuit en mai et nous avons été déçu par notre séjour malgré la gentillesse de nos hôtes:

Will definitely stay again if we are in the area

Négatif:
-Les propriétaires parlent malheureusement très mal le français ne facilitant pas les échanges.
-odeur des draps et serviettes
- LE PETIT DEJEUNER!!! ( "café" enfin ... de l eau à la caféine, viennoiseries limite ingérables (et je ne suis pas difficile)...
et j en passe ( jus d orange, confitures et yaourts bas de gamme lidl) BREF PETIT DEJEUNER INDIGNE DE LA REGION ... PAUVRE NORMANDIE !!!
