After the first contact Mali Step by step, trying to sell us the most expensive category . Only the 3, which was sold out a day later ... then the 4 which in turn was a day later fully , or not to use it all at once with a tent , then we should buy the Cat 5 ... mind you all in February 2015th

Just fabulous year after year for the perfect family caravan holiday. Quiet and comfortable for the parents and friendly/safe for the kids. No drunks or crass teenagers spoiling the old fashioned fun which is enjoyed by many returning visitors; mostly French. Sea breeze keeps the evening storms in land and the mozzies aren't so bad. The area has lots to do and discover from lunch at Rothchild's, hidden coves galore and days inland to villages, mountains and lakes. Fairly easy to get around if you learn to avoid the peak times on the shore road. Large and small supermarkets for great local food. There are terrific coastal days out by train towards Monaco, tennis nearby and an air conditioned gym round the corner (reasonable short term rates). We'll be back again for sure.

Nice place. Camping is quite nice, located well, if you want to visit theme parks around. A bit more tricky if you'd like to go to Antibes and/or further to Nice/Monaco and you have no car. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Then the bus and train are needed. Overall however this is a very nice place to stay

Not so friendly staff and the pool has more rules that I have ever seen! Not for families with kids, more for senior campers that like peace and quite.

Little research went into booking camping La Vieille Ferme on the coast between Nice and Cannes. There's not a great choice of sites still open after September. Photos and reviews of the campsite seemed promising and we didn't have time to do any further groundwork.
We'd paid only a deposit and, unusually, weren't asked for the balance upon checking in. Instead they kept one of our passports, I assume, to ensure we paid prior to departure.
We were shown to our pitch, which was spacious and on hardstanding, and our electric hookup was adjusted to the 10 amp we'd paid for, the other options being 2 or 6 amp.
We're not big fans of campsites that have purposely-planted privacy hedges, they all seem so impersonal and artificial. La Vieille Ferme falls into this category. The showers were great, with more than enough room, and lovely, adjustable, hot water. A covered swimming pool was open until 5pm each day and the bar open each evening.
Again, a pool and bar are not features we look for in a campsite, but we've become used to them being part and parcel of what a French campsite tends to be. As it turned out we used both the bar and pool.
At the bar a half-litre carafe of wine was reasonably priced at 6€. Unfortunately there's no view from the bar. We used the pool to pass the time one day when we'd come back home earlier than was a reasonable time to open a beer.
La Vieille Ferme's website says it is situated between the coast and the mountains. Unfortunately there aren't views of either. It goes on to say it's just 1km from the beach. It's actually only 300 metres from the beach, but only for a crow; two roads and a railway prevent crossing over to it unless you walk to the nearest train station, a kilometre to the east or west. The campsite website also mentions the peaceful surroundings. If you can ignore planes landing at Nice airport and the sounds of emergency vehicle sirens, then yes, it's peaceful.

Good location for the marine park, but difficult to venture to beach or nature without taking transport. Good sized pitches, clean facilities.

Pitch A21. Really enjoyed our stay. Couple of things could have been better... The ground was really hard which made pitching our tent difficult initially, but staff were very helpful and moved us to pitch A21. This was a huge pitch, with plenty of room for tent and car along with plenty of shade and sunshine. With supermarkets nearby and the railway line that runs direct to Monte Carlo, the rest of the stay was superb. Showers were hot, toilets were clean and everybody was extremely helpful.

Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Nice receptionist. Pitches are flat but it's incredibly hard to get pegs in. Facilities are good. Cheaper than other campgrounds in the area (18.60€ for 2 people + tent).
Half an hour free wifi. From then on a minimum of 8€ for one day.

Very friendly staff, nice and spacious layout. The sanitary facilities are clean, but in dire need of a renovation. Can recommend for a night or two.
