Great little place with an ever changing selection of beer on draught and a great bottle selection. Mainly great for Belgian stuff but other little gems can be had too.
Dont expect to hear too much English from the bar staff but if you are able to point at a fridge and say oui or non, you will be fine. It does have a regular crowd of English speakers who speak French too, so they might be able to help you out.

L'ambiance est certes sympathique mais je n'ai jamais vu des bières aussi chères dans un bar... Comptez 7€ pour une bière d'abbaye en 33cl.
Certes on peut se rabattre sur les bières en pression plus abordables mais attention un verre d'eau couterait moins cher pour à peine moins de goût.

Excellent accueil, la chaleur du service compense avec la fraîcheur de ces bières si raffinées pour obtenir le climat idéal d'un grand apero...

The food is honest and good too. It doesnt try to be fancy and it isnt but thats not what this bar is about. It is really all about the great selection of beer, which is unrivaled in Avignon. A must for beer lovers in Avignon

Le Gambrinus is a family-owned, neighborhood pub and restaurant with a large beer menu, focusing on Belgian ales. It became our “watering hole” for the week that we stayed in Avignon. The husband-and-wife owners, though not English-speakers, were very welcoming and hospitable; and a younger bartender was eager to practice her English with us. I discovered that the owner and I have a similar affinity for Flemish sour ales, like Duchesse de Bourgogne and Bourgogne des Flandres. The tap beers are also worth exploring. We did not try the food there, but greatly enjoyed the hospitality and beer selection.
