The food was a delight. We went for 3 courses from the a la carte menu. It started with an amuse bouche before the starter, and a rather refreshing rhubarb sorbet between main course and dessert.

Stayed in Calais last week for one night only. Had dinner here on the strength of other people's reviews. They were not wrong, super food, great service, really helpful staff. Very affordable. Very busy even on a Monday night so I recommend booking

Wonderful food at a reasonable price.........you can see the sunset on the pier and then enjoy a perfectly prepared dinner. Open Monday closed Tuesday

Hi, I am from Los Angeles and went to Le Grand Bleu on a wing and prayer not knowing what it would be like. My wife and I had the best French meal we have ever tasted. Good value and excellent wine list. I can't wait to come back! Hope you all experience the same, Cheers!

Now I've been a few times. I know what I'm in for. It's a good time at a great price with an exciting gastronomical experience. The menu changes and is an intellectual fair-ground ride. That ends with you feeling brilliant about the world. This is a proud restaurant. The chef has worked hard here to build this place into what it is today. It's very French. Very good and very recommended. Matthieu Collin cares about the food and the palate sings in appreciation.

Comme à chaque fois, nous sommes ravis de notre repas au Grand Bleu : cuisine raffinée, toujours bien présentée, des plats tout à fait délicieux. Dans un décor unique, magnifique. Un délice pour les papilles et pour les yeux. A déguster encore et encore....

This was a superb experience - we couldn't have asked for more on our anniversary. Thank you!

Staff were very polite. Our waitress was patient and attentive. We speak French badly and she helped translate the menu for us and even took the time to help us learn some phrase.

Anywhere mother in law has made an institution and supported over the last ten years is deserving of the praise I'm about to pour on it. This place is just amazing. The food incredible. The service charming and the wine is absolute nectar. It's quite an an unassuming frontal situated in the old fishing port overlooking the main Calais harbour.

This place well deserves being rated number 1 in Calais on Trip Advisor. We came here for an anniversary meal. It's definitely recommended you book in advance - we booked a week before, and when we sat down at our table a number of people were turned away at the door as they had no room.
