Nous avons passé entre amis un séjour absolument exquis au sein de La Grange aux Taloches, un petit paradis tenu par Gary and Suzy, parmi les propriétaires les plus charmants et serviables qu'il vous sera donné de rencontrer.
Tout est fait pour s'y sentir bien et s'en souvenir avec tellement de bonheur qu'on se dit : c'est sur, nous y reviendrons !

We stayed at La Grange at Les Taloches & absolutely loved it. Can't the recommend it highly enough, I just wish we could have stayed longer.

Many thanks, Suzi and Gary for making us so welcome at La Châtaigne and helping us celebrate a special birthday. The house was so well equipped and the outdoor pool was superb. Our five grandchildren, their parents and ourselves had a wonderful week and enjoyed the woods, fields, animals and birds as well as the spacious accommodation indoors and the surrounding countryside. We very much hope to see you again soon. Merci beaucoup!

Absolutely brilliant place; even better than it sounds online!
Suzie and Gary are lovely and couldn't have been more helpful.
Scenery beautiful, very unspoiled. The village, river, cafe-bars, bakery, shop all great. Can't recommend it more highly.

We have just returned from a gorgeous week in La Chataigne, Les Taloches. I couldn't recommend it more highly. The accommodation is spacious, the situation beautiful and tranquil yet within easy walking distance of the boulangerie ( very important to us!), as well as the river, excellent village shop and bar. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and were joined by family and friends - 9 of us in total. The pool, unsurprisingly, was very popular, It is a suntrap and beautifully sheltered. Various games are available in the neighbouring barn and there is a good play area for children in the garden where we had a few 'extreme' petanque matches . We are keen, though distinctly aged, cyclists so brought our road bikes and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. A week, however, just gave us a taster! On a more relaxed note lazing on the terrace enjoying supper until well after sundown was such an indulgent and daily treat. Suzi and Gary were great hosts ; there if you needed them but never
intrusive.
A perfect relaxing holiday was had by us all... and if you include Bastille day in the holiday we can recommend the fireworks at Excideuil.

We spent 4 days this weekend in the middle of a small paradise run by Gary and Suzy, among the most charming and helpful owners you will ever meet.
Everything is made to feel good and to remember with so much happiness that one says to oneself: it is on, we will return to it !
