Wonderful reception from a very amusing proprietor with a great sense of humour. Great ambience and décor. Very comfortable room and very clean. Good food, great menu. Would highly recommend

It's always a joy to come to the Hotel Ile de Sees and meet the owner Nicolas. And now his brother Paul and his charming wife are taking over after working here for a year. No worries, this lovely hotel and retaurant buried in the beautiful Normandy countryside, is in safe hands!

One year Nicolas took me on a tour of the kitchen and storerooms before breakfast. I was able to see for myself that everything is freshly prepared on site by his wonderful chef, with no bought-in prepacked frozen dishes. The freezers held only icecream, the fridges had home-prepared desserts lined up, or guinea fowls waiting to be boned and trussed.

We've been coming here for nearly 20 years now, and always drive up with a sigh of pleasure. It's very handy for Brittany Ferries at Caen Ouistreham, so it's our first - or last ' taste of real French food.

Coming to the Hotel Ile de Sees is always the perfect start or end to our holiday. But next year we are going to come here and stay a while, to get the full benefit of this charming place with its friendly host and efficient team.

Great place, lovely food

The evening meal is always a delight, and over the years breakfast has expanded from a simple continental one to a much fuller affair with roissants, cheese, hams and other charcuterie, fruit salad, yoghurt and much more. Really sets you up for the day!

We just love coming here, and it's clear that many others do too.

This is the perfect traditional yet modern French hotel that you always dream of.

Environnement agréable, grande salle de restaurant avec cheminée. Bien servi et bon.

The rooms are charming (ours had been updated since last year ), the bathroom spotless, and the lawns and trees make the perfect tranquil setting for this country hotel.

Je suis natif de l’Orne que j’ai quitté il y a 70 ans et revenir dans mon fief dans cette hôtel calme dans une verdure luxuriante « ancienne crémerie «  j’ai eu le coup de cœur mon épouse parisienne à enfin renouée avec mon pays d’origine ...Un dîner enchanteur pour nos papilles ! avec ce riz de veau excellent. Une chambre spacieuse tout y est sauf la poussière et pour finir le petit déjeuner est copieux nous disons bravo au jeunes propriétaires et bon vent.

Étape très agréable dans cet hôtel de charme.Acceuil très sympa du patron Nicolas,chambre confortable et,cerise sur le gâteau,très bonne cuisine maison.
nous reviendrons très bientôt.
