A carefully refurbished set of holiday gites around an old courtyard. There is plenty of living space both inside and outside the gite, as well as 2 shared swimming pools at the back of the owners' house. The gites have been recently reconditioned with well equipped kitchen areas and comfortable bedrooms. The buildings are spotlessly clean throughout. Eric and Julie were extremely welcoming and took care to ensure we were settled in with everything we needed. The property is set well back from a fairly quiet road a reasonable walk from the village of Chef Boutonne so is very peaceful.

6 adults and 2 kids and lot's of space, 2 pools, it was perfect. The hosts are absolutely lovely and Jack the great dane deserves a special mention too :)

We stayed here for a couple of weeks at the start of January, to break our motorhome tour of Europe. This location and the Gites suited us perfectly. We were able to have a great parking space for our motorhome with electric if we needed to keep charge on our battery. We've stayed in many Gites in the winter but they tend to be chilly, even though it got down to minus temperatures on a night the Gite was lovely and warm. Having a bath, power shower, coffee machine and dishwasher was a real treat for us, so we made best use. The Gites was immaculately clean. Ideally located to the town of Chef-Boutonne, we cycled or walked their nearly everyday for our fresh baguette. Eric and Julie made us feel very welcome giving us some great tips on how to get the best use of our time there. Would love to visit again in the summer to enjoy the 2 pools.

Wow! Great location and a place of beauty. Eric and Julie are really friendly hosts ensuring your stay is memorable. We loved the atmosphere of the house, gites and village with its delicious French cafe culture. We will definitely be coming back. Penny and Andy

Wonderful stay! We just had a long weekend at this fantastic place, from the moment we arrived very late and were greeted by fairy lights and a lovely fountain I knew it was going to be perfect.

wonderful visit, will return again. Modern conveniences in an old world setting. Swimming pools were spotless. Good location, for outings, to Tour de France stages. Owners Eric and Julie were terrific, and more than helpful about the things to do in the region.

Approaching the gates of this beautiful old house fills you with a sense of grandeur and it doesn't disappoint once inside. The gites sit either side of the lovely enclosed front garden and are really well equipped, comfortable and full of character. Behind the logis is a fabulous big garden with a choice of two pools so even when all four gites are full they are never too busy. The location is perfect being just outside town but with the countryside straight out of the back gate. The hosts, Eric and Julie offer a warm welcome and a wealth of knowledge on the local and wider area and are on hand when you need them but are never obtrusive while maintaining everything impeccably. Superb place!!
