Small and old museum located a bit off the city centre (20min walk). It does the job for kids I guess, but don't expect a bunch of fancy eye catching installations. For the 3 eur a ticket, you can't really complain.

The bugs were interesting and I liked all the skeletons but there were an excess of stuffed birds in my opinion

Excellent museum, the taxidermy collection is incredible and all the exhibits are very fine work.

If you find yourself with a free hour or so in Lille the natural history museum makes for a nice afternoon. It's not very big and doesn't really compare to some of the other museums in Lille, but it also doesn't pretend to. For a relaxed tourist activity I definitely recommend. (Unless you have a fear of taxidermy birds)

Interesting place with a lot to see and very cheap entry. Has English texts to read if you don't speak French

This was a lot of fun to visit. Even though it may not look like much from the outside, the inside has a lot to offer.

Wonderful natural history museum! If you like taxidermied animals (especially birds), you'll love this place!

If you find stuffed animals repellent then this museum isn't for you but otherwise I'd definitely recommend it. The scale and the realism of the animals is incredible, the polar bear, for example, is mind bogglingly large.

A great Musium to take the kids on a wet day in Lille. It has a interesting collection of animal exhibits.

Overall, if you're thinking about going to this museum then by all means do it! A great experience and well worth the small entry fee.

The museum was very educational and it closes for lunch between 12- 2pm but you can still use your morning ticket to go back in. Also there is a park near by for kids.

So much to see, very interesting exhibits. Kept my kids enthralled even though we couldn't read the French descriptions.
