A great destination for a cycle ride. Particularly as you'll probably have a tail wind on the way home.

Very crowded. Abandoned the climb because the ligne was almost as long as the lighthouse is tall. Nice architecture, lighthouse not in direct proximity to the water which was a downside for me. Few touristic places to eat around (almost the same menu in every each of them). Big parking.

Very nice location for a short day out. There is a really nice view from the phase and a quite nice museum on the local history and garden around it. There are also shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. We did not try these.

Short queue to gain entry to the large lighthouse. Good value for money. 257 steps and a great view at the top. Lots of places to eat, drink, buy tourist stuff in the surrounding area.

A nice touristic location, the lighthouse provides an interesting view of the west side of Île-de-Ré and the ocean.

Great short trip, and less than 10euros for family of 4 to climb the tallest of the two on-land lighthouses. Climb is worthwhile and achievable by my 5yr old with a few stops on the way. A few restaurants and a sandwich shop near the bottom and free parking. Nice rock pools and beach area too.
