If there are delays, there are limited options for food and drink to buy

Large port. Always huge queuing and long waiting before departures. I did not enjoy the town either. It seems overbuild with flats blocks and overpopulated. Usually full of tourists.

Everyone I encountered in France was awesome, most especially the customs officials. Totally friendly and nice. The ferry ride is nice, but the company has got to do something about keeping passengers packed on the shuttle bus for as long as they do. This doesn't just go for the Calais-side, but also the Dover-side (Actually, more so on the Dover-side). I felt like a sardine in a can at the bottom of an over-filled grocery bag, and I don't think I was the only one thinking this. The bus driver seemed to be waiting for someone to give him the go ahead to drive on, but no one seemed to be on the radio at the other end. Maybe they were out at lunch? Try and figure out a better system folks, I am sure you will come through. Besides ferry shuttle bus issues, I would do it all again in a heartbeat as everything else is fantastic.

The ferry took 1.5 hrs to get from Dover to Calais. Wifi is available for £2.

Got better since jungle camp is gone. Security smoking inside public buildings. Toilets some times clean.
