1.) Overall condition of the hotel: it was surely once worth a 4 star rating but it seems like no money was spent for restauration or maintenance since 25 years. Our room was at the third floor: Clean but with lots of scratches, bumps, damaged furniture.

Honnêtement, hôtel vétuste qui n'est absolument pas un 4 étoiles. Service catastrophique et restaurant immonde : nous avions pris une demi pension que nous avons réussi à annuler tellement la nourriture est exécrable. Le seul atout de cet endroit est son emplacement et les cours de surf avec la championne Marion qui est excellente. Mais ceci mis à part, cela ne vaut absolument pas son prix.

2.) Spa: We booked mainly because of the spa and the possibility to use the sauna. There are two separate saunas for women and men which is not really helpful when you want to spend some time with your partner, but anyway ignored by most. The sauna itself is a little chamber with wooden furniture which is already brown from sweat. Apart from that is is not really getting warm, but this surely depends on individual preferences. For the swimming area you need a bathing cap (for hygenic reasion although everyone is sitting with swim suits in the sauna) which can be bought for 2,50€ upfront unless you bring you own.

3.) At night a firealarm went of many times between 3 and 6 am. At night it was quite chaotic until we could get the information that it was just a technical defect of a sensor. Mentioning that at the check-out we were directly told that we will get a 15% discout for the night. As the receptionist realised that we booked online (and somehow already had a 15% discount) we got 10€ off. In the end I would rather liked to have little courtsey (short excuse, longer breakfast timeframe) than that.

Accueil superbe, chambre très bien, personnel très aimable et professionnel à l'accueil et dans les chambres. Les soins sont à la hauteur des annonces même si le site vieillit (spa marin).
La restauration n'est pas du tout fort de cet établissement, les menus sont quelconques, le rapport qualité prix n'est pas au rendez vous et le service pas au niveau

Les soins : 4 étoiles pour ce qui concerne l'accueil du personnel et des équipements. Seul regret, le laps de temps trop court entre deux soins.
La chambre : 3 étoiles, bien dans l'ensemble. Quelques réserves concernant le non changement systématique du peignoir de bain. L'absence de cafetière automatique. Il est également surprenant de constater la présence de l'institut Carita sans avoir l'occasion de tester les produits par des échantillons .
Le restaurant : 1 étoile, la cuisine n'est pas gastronomique et, dans l'ensemble les mets proposés sont moyens. 5 étoiles pour le personnel efficace et agréable.

In the end we left with the feeling that the hotel is run in "cash-out" mode..

Esan beharra daukagu esperientzia ahaztezina izan zela zuen hotelean eduki genuena. Alde batetik instalazioak primerakoak dira eta bestalde pertsonalaren atentzioa ezin hobea izan zen.
Logelak oso erosoak eta bista onekin tokatu zitzaizkigun.
Janariari dagokionez, ikuspuntu desberdinak izan genituen. Kalitatea oso ona zen baina hain sukalde berritzailea izanik, batentzat oso gustukoa baina bestearentzat klasikoakoagoa nahiagoko luke.
Besterik gabe, desiatzen berriro itzultzeko.

Pool almost empty that Saturday, nice for us ! Excellent massage therapist too.
