Amazingly restored 18th Century monastery, lovely big rooms, and the breakfast is very good and is taken in the beautiful Louis XV salon. Note: Reservation needed to be made via letter, and confirmed via telephone in French.

Visite instructive. Lieu surtout intéressant pour son histoire. La visite guidée est obligatoire.

Old Cistercian abbey now home for kids w/ learning difficulties, worth doing the tour to check the magnificent wood panels, the baroque’s church (clearly not Cistercian anymore!) and the unique 18th century papier mâché Angels. The abbey is also surrounded by a lovely botanic garden

We liked the abbey, but it's not great doing the tour if a non French speaker. We were given a laminated card with some facts on it, but we missed so much that the guide said that was additional to what was on the card. It's a shame they don't have an audio guide. We thought the interior was impressive though, particularly the ceiling in the cloister.
