What a great place. The owners Nick & Mary both speak English and have been part of the local culture for many years. Service was fab and the food was great, with huge portions. Closed currently on Monday & Tuesday.
*From an earlier review: there's no way you can sit for an hour and not have your order taken, delivered and you've not eaten (BS). Nick & Mary wouldn't have it.
Make sure you take a look around at the terrace area overlooking the Vienne and the adjoining garden.
Warm and welcoming with lots of ambience. Just over the old bridge on the left when coming from City Centre and just before Fontaine de la Fontorse, an ancient spring.
Save room for Mary's cheesecake.
