walked along the street during sunday lunch time to look for a restaurant. it was really lively the previous evening with every restaurant opened and jostling for customers but this afternoon, less than half the restaurants were opened. saw auberge provencale da bouttau opened for business and has a michelin guide recommendation, we decided on it. my friend had rock fish soup for starter and magret de canard for the plat. the soup was yummy! the magret was pretty good but not as much fat as hoped. i had a steamed cod with seasonal veges for plat and a Tarte au citron comme à Menton, meringue à la Française for dessert. they were delicious as well. the plats were all nicely plated and classy. pretty decently priced considering that it is cannes. i can imagine the dinner from the carte to be better if lunch can be of this quality.

Good restaurant overall but nothing exceptional. The wood fire pit grilling option is very good but you need a group to make it a value option. Better options nearby with unique set menus.

what an amazing restaurant, a little gem, what a discovery.
one of the greatest food experiences I ever had.
The Steak is out of this world, simply amazing
much recommended if you are in Cannes.

The food is the best I had in the area. Service is great, waiters are very professional and great knowledge of the menu.

So far, the best gastronomic experience in Cannes. Good vegetarian meal, by the way. And the staff is amazing, very kind.

Seriously some of the best food I've had. Better than some Machelen star restaurants. The table next to us booked for tomorrow night. We 're deff coming back.
