I rented a car at AVIS in Evreux September 2017. The rental bill was payed by voucher by my employer, but I had to give a deposit of 600 Euro with my credit card. They said it would be not really booked but being just deposit (which is normal). After giving back the car and being home again in Germany I saw that the 600 Euro were really booked from my credit card account. And it has not been returned until today, the car rental was 6 weeks ago!
I did several phone calls that time (now 5 weeks ago) and was ensured that the deposit return would be put into the system. Additionally I sent some emails to AVIS (4 weeks ago), but never got any response. Two weeks ago I told my credit card bank, and they investigate now. I hope I don't need a lawyer on this.
