I ordered 60 logs from Betemps Bois. They delivered late without any communication whatsoever and not the expected grade. The wood was explicitly ordered to construct a log home. I received logs which were damaged, 25% heavily damaged: first by the harvester, then by lying around in the forest for a considerable amoun of time. I wonder how that goes along with the "know-how" and the "we do this since four generations". I know few people who like wood who sell stuff like that without flinching. "We are an industrial supplier" was the answer of Betemps when I complained - as if "industry" was happy with bad quality. The low grade delivered implies additional workload of at least 30 minutes per log, the badly touched ones (by humidity and fungus) take 1.5h to bring them into a presentable state. Betemps bois sports the label of "Quality", at least my experience is more than unsatisfying.
