We paid a first visit to my great uncle's grave almost 100 years after his death in WW1.
This small cemetery is very well kept and far away from any hustle and bustle, a mere 20 minute walk from the railway station at Roeux. The only unappealing sight is the pylons adjacent.
We were able to record our visit in the visitors book which is kept in a space at the entrance.
I say the only unappealing sight but the shameful waste of life is all too apparent.
