I first tasted the wine 5 years ago, it is probably one of the best producers in Madiran. The proprietor & winemaker Simon Capmartin whom came out from his cellar to greet us, came back from the States few years ago. He made some seriously effort to produce some better wines and stand out from the rest of the crowds. As a whole, he makes 7 different labels which all represent different characters from the varieties & blends. All the wines are organically grown since 10 years ago !! The winemaker Simon even arranged a vertical vintage tasting for us . He is always informative and not shy to show his enthusiasm to perfection. The Cuvée du Couvent & the Old Vines Tannat are fine examples and a MUST to try !!

Excellent accueil suivi d'excellents conseils suite à ma première visite. J'ai eu l'oc
casion d'ouvrir une des bouteilles achetées lors de ma venue sur ce domaine et j'avoue que ce Cuvée du Couvent 2009 était sublime.
