Well the rooms are a bit dated, but they are clean and functional. For the moaners, if you want perfect then go the Ritz. The facilities and rooms here are quite acceptable for the price.
The restaurant has a chef that clearly loves his work. Good quality food (small menu) of freshly prepared and cooked meals at bargain prices
Double glazing keeps the rooms quiet

One night motel. Ideal for a stop over. Room was clean but small. You do get a kettle unlike most hotels in France. For the price it is good value

So.. what the hell?
When I booked I thought I was going to a hotel. It turned out to be a motel. This is not a bad thing, though, but the Campanile Calais is in a very, very poor state. The rooms have not been renovated for at least 20 years, it seems. The floor is slightly bubbly probably due to dampness. The light switches don't really work. The heating is broken. And what the hell happened to those pillows? I have never slept on pillows as hard and uncomfortable as the ones at this hotel. The bathroom was not very clean and the TV is sometimes not working. The door locks are broken as well and it is almost impossible to properly lock the front door. It is also a very loud area of Calais. The restaurant was nice and clean, though, but the breakfast was very, very poor. Just a few basics, nothing more, and very little staff. For one night it was bearable, but believe me, I'll never stay there again. Just... no.

Easy access 20 mins from the eurotunnel at a good price...v.friendly and good food / service

Marvellous menu, we've just enjoyed the Grill of the Day: chicken pieces, steak and merguez sausage with French fries and a glass of wine! Room clean and comfortable.

This hotel was on our travel plan, we were promised nice, clean rooms, and did not receive. What we ended up staying in was a part of the hotel that was actually a motel with, a broken shower, lights, and see through curtains.
