We arrived late and the hotel was good for the price, however we parked in the nearby square and the signs advised it was fine to park, we also asked at the hotel reception and they confirmed we could park there until 9am the following day.

Small but perfectly clean room. Has a comfortable lounge to sit and have a drink in. Had one of the best hotel breakfasts that I have come across in Europe. Easy walk from the train station for someone with no mobility issues.

Rooms are a bit small and the breakfast area is small too. The location is really good though especially if you were staying for the Christmas market.

Very well situated: close to the train station and the centre. In need of refurbishment but it's fine for one, two nights.

In the morning we came down around 7am and different staff were on reception, they asked where we parked and when we told them they said our car would not be there anymore as a market was on. Sure enough, our car had been towed away, it took a while to retrieve it and cost us over 140 euros.

The location of the hotel is perfect, however the rooms need a little bit of an upgrade to this era.

The hotel wrongly advised us that parking was okay and it cost us.

This Ibis hotel is very run down and was clearly finished by the lowest bidder. This is especially evident in the washroom (where the shower stall's cheap vinyl surface is warped and delaminating and pipes run through ragged unfinished holes), the door (which is a long ways from 21st security standards), and the lamp over the window which has its ballast dangling down to be hit every time I open the window. The staff are friendly and helpful and some have excellent English. The WiFi is fast and reliable. The €7.50pp breakfast is standard fare at a fair price. Whether you stay here or at one of the other nearby hotels, don't try to drive directly to the hotel and don't follow google maps. Instead, follow street signs to Grand Place and park in the square - at least until you check in. There are some day-of-week and time-of-day constraints on parking and you should ask the front desk for advice. It can be confusing but at least it is inexpensive.

Good location but hotel is old and dirty. Rooms smelled of smoke and mould. Bath was tiny. Not worth the money being charged.
