I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here over a three year period. The food is spot on, service is decent. For my recent meal there I had lunch with three others. Ordered the Onion Soup and Steak Tartare. Apparently the meat is from one of Paris' finest butchers, so I had no reservations about trying it for the first time. I must say, it is excellent and well balanced in flavour. It is almost like eating a very tender steak. The onion soup is also amazing, apparently quite a traditional version - it has a lovely onion flavour that is sweet. Highly recommended! Plus they have great butter!

Happened to pick this place for lunch (picked a busy restaurant...it must be good right?) and we enjoyed the meal and beverages. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Until now never knew the history of the restaurant.

One of the best French Brasseries.
Delicious food and a great selection of wines.
The price might be high, but it is a worthy experience.
Sometimes you might even stumble upon French celebrities.

Quietly classic Art Deco gem, classic brasserie menu. I accidentally ordered an entire fish, luckily it was beautifully prepared. Desserts are not as fresh as they could be. Friendly service with indoor clientele leaning towards elegant senior locals.

This place takes you back in time and does so with style. The lighting, the paintings, the velvet walls and mirror ceiling - it all adds up to give the perfect bohemian time machine. Love it!

Great place. The food is awesome. I would recommend to make a reservation if your planing your visit during peak hours. Do not expect a great service.

Love the place! Delicious food, friendly service, and the 1920 vibe is simply too good to be true. I've been to the place several times and it never disappoints!

My friend recommended this and told me it's a very traditional brasserie. It's really busy, and the staff just wants to settle you as soon as you walk in. The menu looks good, although not too impressive. I got oyster for starter, and you guess what I found? A worm. I starred at it for 2 minutes, and as a biologist, it's way more than enough to confirm it was a worm. I called the manager because I lost all my appetite and I just wanted to puke. The first thing the manager did was to pick out and destroy the worm and swore to me it was algae. After I told him that I was a biologist and I eat a lot of oysters as well, he started to find excuses for themselves. He never offered any goodwill accommodation or even apologized. I was angry and I just couldn't believe it.

Everything about La Rotonde was great. The servers were very kind, the food was excellent, and the restaurant looks incredible.

Upon entering, the host was welcoming and polite however the server and manager did not deliver reasonable hospitality for many reasons. The menu offers PRIME STEAK, however this is far from the truth. I was served a poorly prepared flank steak. I asked the waiter what cut of prime steak was on the menu, and the response was vague, "prime". After receiving this insipid cut of meat I asked the waiter again to confirm that it was a prime cut. The response was sirloin, far from true. I chose not to continue eating. He would not exchange nor offer an alternative. The manager was of no help neither, but condescendingly offered double fries. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, included is a picture of the steak.
