It's a copy of the original and you're not allowed to take photos in the main caves area! Doesn't sound much fun does it? If the answer is no then you would be as wrong as me. Fascinating, interesting and spellbinding! A lot was due to my new cousin and guide Marie who bought the whole thing to life showing us 'what could not be seen'.

We took the english-language tour with a charming and informative guide. We did have a 2-hour wait for the tour, but we went into the town center and had lunch while waiting. Well worth a visit.

Incredible. Very impressive centre with recreation of the real caves. Very atmospheric. Use of technology with the personal tablets is a great idea. You need to book a tour beforehand, don't just turn up ad it is very popular. Good car park too.

Possibly the best visitor center experience in France. Developed over recent years with the addition of Lascaux IV and the interactive experience.
Very highly recommended.
