We have a nice private room. Because we have a group of 11, the restaurant need us to order set menus. 75/95 or 115 EUR. They were very nice to allow my kids and mother on A la Carte and prepared us a nice gluten free set.

We went to the Bistrot Gabriel following a recommendation from a local friend.

One thing to note with this place is that they do not require a reservation so if you are stuck (it could happen on a busy day in Bordeaux) it's a really great choice.

Wine order taken and delivered before the waiter informed us the kitchen was closing soon and we'd only be able to order a main course, not the full set menu deal we'd seen advertised. Settled for a selection of cheeses instead, which were tasty.

Great veal on the lunch menu. The whole party enjoyed the meal and helpful staff.

Food for the main group was so so except for the roasted Turbot. View is fantastic. A/c was poor and slightly stuffy. Slow cook veal is a poor, with a drizzle of olive oil.

Good gastronomique, far from getting a star! The dessert was amazing, the other plates not as innovative as I would have expected.

It was ok. Not a big deal. I was invited so I can't say if it was worth the price, but it was a normal restaurant. Waiters were very kind and helpful. Service time was good too.

We like the location. Albeit being just in front of the square and famous fountain, the place is no tourist trap.

We had dinner here last night of our stay in Bordeaux. The staff was super friendly, menu and food was extraordinary, beautifully tasteful creations. And best part of our experience was our lovely window table over viewing the Place de la Bourse. Thank you for the memorable dinner.

This was genuinely the worst meal I've had in my LIFE. Disgusting raw fish they called "tataki" a tough and mediocre steak with soggy potatoes and my mother's desert which was just absolutely disgusting.

Also, it's a good value deal - dinner menu has some nice food and it's not too expensive.

Only go if you want to have the worst meal of your life ... :(
