Food was great. I had the turkey penne meal and my date had the steak and frittes. The best part was the 1664 beer and the waiter was very patient explaining the French info to us in English.

The right place for a cofee break,or a snack or drink!Ideal if you are a smoker since it has a big terrace for this purpose!

Expensive place for breakfast if you order the "specials".
I instead ordered a café and a tartine and paid €4.60. Fresh hot bread, fresh hot coffee, butter and jam: perfect French breakfast!

Do not ever come to this cafe! On Sunday, Novemeber 14th, 2015, after donating blood (universal blood donor), and paying my respects to the victims of the tragic attacks in Paris, my boyfriend and I sat down to have lunch at this place. The waitress did not acknowledge us until 30 minutes. She did not bring over a menu and only asked my boyfriend (who is Caucasian) what he wanted to drink. She ignored me (South Asian-Canadian). I called her back and gave her my drink order. 50 minutes passed and revert one around us was getting their meals and their drinks on time. The three families beside us noticed that we ever not getting served. She still hadn't brought the food menu or our drinks over. The kind people next to us asked her why she was serving everyone else except us and her answer was "the kitchen's busy". It was obvious what she was doing. It was difficult to hold back my tears and even more difficult to understand why anyone would assume the worst of people based on the colour of their skin. We love Paris and all the kind people of this beautiful city. This this waitress, you are the worst example of a human being and I hope that someday someone, somewhere refuses you service just because you exist.

Had lunch here as it was closest to my hotel. Nothing special, and rude and uninterested staff. I'd say, go the extra mile and visit another restaurant...
