This place is so good, so normal, so nice — a favourite stop-over on journeys south. Restaurant well-frequented weekends by local families, plus a scattering of wise travellers. Great atmosphere.

Endroit agréable pour le déjeuner. La cuisine est faite maison avec des produits frais. Le jour de marché, le poisson est directement livré frais du marché. Prix raisonnables et personnel sympathique et attentionné. Dommage que notre Pavé de lieu jaune et son velouté de moules et de poivrons nous ait été servi à peine chaud. Le plat en lui-même était un régal.

The worst place I stayed in in a month in France.
Bathroom cramped with broken shower.
Bed lumpy.
Poor value - far better available if you walk a little further; I wish I had.

Moment très agréable passé au Vauban, bon accueil et cuisine maison de qualité ! Magnifique ! Patron chaleureux et bienveillant.

Such warm friendly service and atmosphere, and a very tasty lunch. I had the plat du jour (pork in paprika sauce) and the others in my party had fish and mussels - all very good. We hope to return.
