Faisant régulierement étape a Tournus nous avons pris l'habitude depuis 4 ans maintenant de séjourner à l'hôtel St philibert qui est donc un petit établissement fort sympathique et d'un tres bon rapport qualité Prix.
Le petit déjeûner copieux et excellent , ainsi que l'acceuil chaleureux de ses propriétaires font de cet hôtel une tres bonne adresse.

Fijn hotel, vriendelijke gastvrouw en leuke authentieke kamer met toilet, bidet en bad. Ik had een kamer, met zitkamertje, aan de voorkant maar geen last van lawaai.
Ontbijt is eenvoudig, maar prima in orde.

Apparemment la direction de l'hôtel a changé depuis le début de l'année 2010. Les nouveaux propriétaires nous ont reçu avec gentillesse et courtoisie, l'hôtel est ancien mais agréable et surtout propre, nous avons trouvé le petit déjeuner copieux et frais, bref nous y retournerons !

Pleasant small hotel within easy walking distance of the historic town center of Tournus. The room was not large, but clean. Breakfast was a standard french petit dejeuner with a limited selection, but fresh ingredients, which is a nice change from standard budget fare. If you want to stay here: book direct! The owner has added a €20 surcharge for internet bookings via booking sites.
The hotel does not have it's own parking, but it is right next to the train station, and the station parking is free.

We stayed seven days here and were happy with our stay. The owner and her assistant were most friendly and helpful. The room was a little small and very plain, but it was not a problem. The Wi-Fi was good. The breakfast was fine (especially the croissant and baguette) though no cooked items. Bathroom in the room was fine. The hotel is very well located, close to the cathedral and all the interesting shops and restaurants. The hotel is on a busy street, so if traffic noise will be a concern, ask for a room at the back. There was no air conditioning but a fan kept the temperatures comfortable for the most part. We had no trouble parking our car for free across the street. There is also free parking in the RR Station lot behind the hotel. The hotel is old and could probably use a refurbishment inside and out, but it was basically fine, especially considering the reasonable price.

This hotel failed to honor a website booking made with them. They did not even try and confirm the booking, but instead tried to extort another payment for the already booked and paid for accommodation. The staff member responsible was rude, uncooperative and stupid (or greedy?). I would never recommend this hotel.
