Un très bon accueil. Une auberge de jeunesse sécurisée, très bien entretenue avec un personnel très agréable

If you are coming here on a school trip, the above points put the Poppies Albert in a comparatively good light to most school hotels. However if you intend to stay here out of leisure, understand that your money would be better spent on a tent and a sleeping bag.

If you want out of date Pepsi and overpriced Haribos, this is the place for you
Disappointment is the motto of this establishment. At no point did I find my self feeling comfortable nor did I ever feel glad to be here.
Whilst I could list the things I didn't like; it is far quicker to list what I did.
1. It isn't too far from the centre of Albert
2.The coffee at breakfast isn't the worst I have ever had
3. The wifi is okay so long as you stay away from streaming services

The hotel staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and a good size. We loved the breakfast provided with lots of choice and a chance to experience a French breakfast. The hostel provided a games room to entertain students during their stay and they also had the chance to play football on the nearby field. The staff also had a large staffroom where they could play pool and have quiet time. However, the shelves proved a safety hazard as one pupil who shall not be named, sliced their nose on the shelf above the sink whilst washing their face. The bathrooms were clean but extremely small and difficult to fit into which caused leaking. The lights were complicated and difficult to operate. The lights took a long time to turn off and on. The bedding provided was thin and paper-like this proved difficult to sleep in.
The hostel helpfully provided a lunch of sandwiches, fruit, chocolate and water. This was convenient and kept the students energy levels up. The hygiene of the hostel was good and the students enjoyed their stay. The hostel also was convenient for the students and staff as it was near the centre of town and the memorials and just a two hour trip over to Belgium. The area was quiet and calm which was good for sleeping and Albert was a beautiful little town.

It's an ok place to stay but things like the Walls are a bit stained some of the duvets and pillows but they do have comfy beds and the breakfast is basic but tasty . It
Also has a good games room and vending machine. It would be good if they could provide locks on toilet doors and soap for sinks and a chair with desk as rrhosne things should be in a room. Nice hosts and standards are ok for a big group budget place to Stay but. does need some extra essentials and cleaning.
