Third class service. Very bad experience with unprofessional employees. Be careful with the token system. The number displays only for 2-3 seconds and then they say we were shouting when they were actually not!

I applied for a visa for my 3 year old son in May 2016 and my documents were checked by a member of staff at VFS before being sent on to the consulate. According to their website, visas are normally issued within 6 days as long as there are no problems with the documentation.
I heard nothing from VFS until the 6th day when I received a phone call to tell me that the Indian consulate had rejected my application unless I could provide further documentation. I explained to the lady on the phone that my application had been checked by a member of staff at their Paris office so I wasn't sure what paperwork was missing. She told me to 'send the same documents again by email'. I did - and received an automated message saying my email had been received. And that was it!
I heard nothing further for another few days and then I called the exorbitantly expensive helpline and was told that if I lived in Paris, it would be simpler for me to go there and speak to someone instead of relying on email.
I went up to VFS again and was told initially that my documents hadn't been received by email. So, fortunately, since I had copies of the documents with me, I handed them in again in person and came back home, hoping against hope that that would be the end of it.
It wasn't - I heard nothing back again and I kept emailing them until finally I received an abrupt response saying my documents were ready for collection - 6 weeks after I had applied for my son's visa.
I understand that mistakes happen. The staff on the front line bear the brunt of everyone's frustration which isn't always fair because some of them are genuinely helpful - however, I have to say that even though we're the 'customers' it feels like VFS is doing us a favour, not providing us with a service.

In 2011, it took 2 hours to get a visitor's visa for Canada. This year 2017 we have been given a rude run around for a month, by phone, by VFS, by computer, and still no visa

Have had nothing but bad service with this company. I cannot believe my government would put me through this mismanaged company to save some money. We got the run around and lost a lot of money due to this outsourcing. On top of it, the people who gave great reviews to this are all Indians who probably work for the company that is based in India...

Impossible to call them on a normal business day, I pay to hear an automatic message telling me it is a holiday in France... No tracking of my passport as it is being returned to me. Bad service overall.

Unprofessional staff, zero courtesy no process or order in place. The token system is completely flawed. Had to wait for hours just to deposit a document.

How such service can exist ? You took ticket to wait your case to be treated. And then they announce to all people having tickets that they can throw their tickets and wait after the people who arrived after you.
Not to mention the reluctance of working people, i can t believe of such experience.

Very bad experience staffs are thinking they are working in police station even dnt know to smile dnt know to talk kindly lady staff I have meet very rude with me so pls change your attitudes towards peoples
