By pass Paris.... And head here. This village was fantastic, there was a street fair foing on and tons of events. It was friendly and exactly what I was hoping for from my first visit to France!

You need time to see everything in the chateau, so put a day aside and enjoy a long lunch in the restaurant.

Whilst we didn't go inside the chateaux the views from the outside are worth it on their own. As is the case with many of the chateaux. Big plus with this one is rather than standalone in an enormous estate and gardens it is nestled in the lovely town of Blois with lots of local shops, bars, cafes and restaurants too.

Wonderful castle with a stunning architecture. The visit will take you across a large number of rooms, with historical informations about different times of the castle history

But definitely worth a visit not for the Chateau but for the city of Blois, which is straight out of Medieval time. The winding roads and riverfront, oh my god!

We approached the Chateau from the back side and it's walls looked really looked grand from the road below. Not so much from the front entrance.
