Judging from the reviews, some other customers seem to have experienced rude service. My wife and I went here just about every morning for a month and always felt treated well. To be fair, my French-speaking is passable, so maybe that makes a difference. Still, it's disappointing to see a place that I loved get a less than ideal rating.

If you catch them just coming out of the oven, the fresh baguettes are a revelation. I'd never had bread like that back in the states before. The crust was crispy. Breaking it was like snapping a carrot, except steaming spongy bread was inside. I know you're supposed to wait until it cools, but it's worth trying it that fresh at least once.

The reviews are accurate - exceptional pastries all around. Definitely returning.

Only complaint is that there was no proper espresso machine.

The cashier sold me the plastic display macaroons. Even with a language barrier, who in their right mind would mistake a customer ordering the plastic display macaroons. I want my money back.

Excellent pastries, great brioche (apricot and pistachio...mmm!), nice coffee. Good option for a decent quality but value for money breakfast. Staff really nice.
