Le bistrot/restaurant est très fréquenté mais aussi très oppressant. Aucune intimité. Les tables sont mal agencées et il n'y a presque pas moyen d'accéder au buffet.

Early in April my husband and I had an overnight stay at the Balladins Hotel in Rouen.
We had a very comfortable ground floor room which was spacious and spotlessly clean. In the evening we enjoyed a superb meal in the restaurant which we considered to be excellent value for money. The staff were all pleasant and helpful - and very patient with our faltering French!
Altogether an excellent hotel which we will use again.
However, our one disappointment was the meagre €9.00 breakfast we were offered the next morning - very little choice of food. We have stayed in a number of of Balladins, some less expensive, and had wonderful breakfasts (especially in Saintes which was to die for!). It would be nice to see some improvement next time we visit.
