Fabulous place.
When it came time to leave, our rental car had a flat tire. Our hosts bent over backward to help us make phone calls and communicate with Hertz and the towing company. And to plan how to handle the disruption in our plans on a Monday morning, when many things are closed in France (the tow truck driver dropped us off at "Le Relais" in Avallon, where we relaxed over lunch until the garage opened at 2 PM).

Véritable merveille ! Ce lieu est parfait pour les amoureux de nature. Chaleureux, une bonne literie, un cadr exceptionnel, un repas du terroir. Nous reviendrons dans cet hôtel magique.

We visited le Moulin des Templiers the nights of Oct 11 and 12. The visit was a wonderful, peaceful, and calming contrast to the busy-ness of Paris. The rippling water in the stream sent up a soothing background "white noise" that was quietly present all the time. The room was clean and well arranged, with a quite satisfactory shower. Our hosts were attentive and helpful even in the face of our rusty school French. The food and food were delicious. The usual breakfast was augmented by ham and cheese. The dining room was beautifully decorated.

The location of the hotel was excellent, very close to the center of town so all stores and restaurants were in walking distance. The staff was very friendly and informative and the rooms were very clean, quaint and luxurious.
We have fond memories of l'Hotel Moulin des Templiers and would love to go back again. Highly recommended.
