It's a good little stop and the video at the end was interesting. Just not enough though to really grab me. The one in Bayeux is better, check that one out.

Quite an amazing collection of artifacts and information- Displays are informative and well preserved. Every 30 mins, they play a 25 minute video in their small theater that covers most everything you need to know, and it alternates between French and English versions.

Being so close to Omaha beach is very cool. It is a great place to stop and re-familiarize yourself with the battle on "bloody Omaha". Nice displays and information. Get yourself a little glass container from the gift shop so you can take a bit of sand home from the beach.

Went on my motorbike some years back, great trip! Great memory of d day and the terrible war. Look for the old structures, where the Germans had their cannons, where the allies set up the temporary floating cement docks (still there!) brought all the way from England!
The new structures give you enough reading and visual material to be impressed

Disappointed by this museum. Had heard good things (maybe my hopes were set too high?). It's ok but definitely skippable. The film has some footage that is interesting to see and helps imagine that day (D-Day) but I felt the music accompanying the film was distracting and even a bit distasteful. The exhibits have weapons and gear from the time which was interesting but nothing that was a must-see.
