Today I had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with the Visa department. They kept me (with my two month old baby), going around in circles, without clear information for over an hour and a half, with nothing but a wailing baby and a very distressed mother and no clear solution. Does it take 15 days to get a "Titre de identite republican" for a two month old baby born in France, travelling from France to Switzerland for 3 days, with a European national parent who is resident in France? I believe it is unkind and unprofessional to mock a foreigner for their accent (as the awful woman handling "help" in this section did very consciously to me) and I believe there has been an abuse of power by these people to be as unhelpful as possible. I found them incompetent beyond words and callous for their treatment of a concerned mother whose baby was crying. The Director of this section even started harassing me when I asked for a complaint form. There were a couple of people who tried to be helpful, but were stonewalled by their colleagues. I will be presenting a formal complaint to the Police Prefect and the Ministry of Interior. Improve the information provided on your website, improve information signs in your offices, improve the treatment of pregnant women and mothers with babies and other people with special needs and definitely improve the training of your public-facing officers.

This was shameful behaviour beyond words.
