First ate here in November, 1996 on a 2-week driving tour from Paris through Provence with 3 nights scheduled for Nice. We chanced upon Le Congrès. The cheery flame in the oven said get pizza. The slightly charred crispy thin crust, the four melted cheeses, the tomato sauce, a salad, a 1/4 l of the house wine, delicious ice cream and expresso proved again that fresh ingredients prepared with care make an unforgettable meal. Our second meal was just as good. Returned to Nice the next year in November planning a week's stay with many meals at Le Congrès followed by a week touring Corsica. After settling in at Le Citadines, we headed for Le Congrès. It was "CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS - reopening sometime the following year". We tried many other restaurants in Nice for pizza. They were all good, but none ever equaled Le Congrès. And that is still true today no matter where I have had pizza.

Lovely staff, great food and all at a good price! Very good location if you are staying at the Novotel Nice Centre or in the vicinity of the Acropolis.

I've eaten at this restaurant for the last 26 years - the food is of excellent fresh quality, average priced and service is first class - it appeals to the tourists, the various participants at congresses across the road at the Acropolis, and the locals like myself! Don't get me wrong, this isn't exquisite fine dining, but for a friendly reception and local well prepared produce, I find it suits me and my family and friends either for lunch or dinner. They close late and I've seen them clearing away at 2 o'clock in the morning! The only draw back and hence my 3 stars only, is the traffic that passes a few yards away, but is a problem with all the restaurants down Bld Risso I'm afraid,if eating outside on the terrace. However, evenings are calmer after rush hour, and winter inside is cosy, welcoming and with a licensed bar. Try it if you're at one of the hotels in the proximity and get a slice of local flavour!

Restaurant très agréable où nous sommes choyés par un serveur fort sympathique. Des plats fait maison avec des produits de qualité à un prix très abordable. Un endroit à découvrir et redécouvrir!

J'y suis allée manger ce soir pour la première.c'était très bien.Bon repas fait maison,accueil chaleureux,personnel sympa et service parfait.Je reviendrais

Bien plus qu'une pizzeria. Des vrais plats nissarts exécutés de main de maître par le patron dont la qualité de la cuisine n'a d'égal que sa gentillesse ...
C'est du fait maison et avec amour... que demander de plus?
