Rented a car July 23rd from thrifty @ Beziers airport and paid collision damage deposit of EUR1000 by credit card. Was told that it would be refunded to my card within a few days of returning the car. 3 weeks after returning the deposit had not been paid back. Had to call the hire desk to be told "ah sometimes head office pays back by cheque".A few days later cheque arrives by post. Now I have to wait a few weeks to get the cheque cleared and also have to pay a EUR20 processing fee charge

Complete rip off! We hired a car from here in August for two weeks. We didn’t use it very much as everything in Agde is within walking distance, in 2 weeks we used 8 Euros of fuel! We dropped the car off and put the keys in the key drop as requested. A week after we returned the credit card was charged 1500 Euros. I phoned the desk at the airport and they said there had been a large dent in the back of it, which there was not.
