Fantastic hotel, well placed within the centre of Rouen. All shops and attractions are within walking distance. Lovely food in hotel restaurant although the menu is limited. Large bathrooms with bathrobes and slippers so that you can wander down to the large indoor pool in them ready for a swim or a spa treatment. Friendly, helpful staff. We had a lovely large privilege room which was great, so spacious.

Beautiful hotel. Large, comfortable, nicely appointed rooms in an historic old mansion. It's a staple stop on the local tour route for tourists. The hotel staff are wonderful. The hotel is in the city center, and is within walking distance of just about everything. It has the largest indoor pool in northern France. Can't say enough about how terrific this place is. No stay at the Hotel de Bourgtheroulde is long enough.

Disappointing. Rooms are soulless and bland. None of the building charms kept in the rooms. Best things are the cocktails. Definitely not great value for money.

Great location, friendly and efficient staff and an incredible setting make this hotel a great choice. The rooms are clean and fresh, although not particularly memorable.
The lobby is very spacious with a long bar and a piano. It has a very classic and yet contemporary feel to it. There's also a brasserie adjacent to the hotel with a convenient access from inside the hotel.

5 Stars! Words can’t explain such a phenomenal gem. This hotel didn’t receive 5 stars, they earned them. We felt like special individual guests from the time we checked in until the moment we left. We arrived quiet early and the hotel was ready to store our bags while we explored the city. The room wasn’t quite ready and we didn’t expect it to be but the front desk staff completed the check in process so we only had to pick up the key later in the day. When we returned in the afternoon to do so, a gentleman showed us to our room, explained the amenities of the hotel, and ensured we knew the staff was ready and willing to assist in any way they could. Very personalized service. Our bags were waiting for us in the room. We stayed in a traditional room. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The room is clean and quiet. The hotel location is right on a pedestrian only square in the city centre. Convenient location to walk around town exploring. Many of the streets are pedestrian only so it’s safe and fun. You won’t need a car to explore Rouen once you’re parked. Restaurants, patisserie, church and shops all within 1 minute walking distance. The hotel pool is very unique with large skylights above the pool looking into the bar. You can see up but the bar patrons and day visitors can’t see down too easily being that the bar is well lit. Very cool and unique concept. Large enough pool to stretch out your arms and legs with short laps after a long day of walking. The dry sauna and steam sauna are both relaxing. Dry can comfortably fit 6 while steam sauna can fit 15-20. Steam sauna has dark black tiles with gold accents and star-like lights on the ceilings meaning it is fairly dark. Very relaxing. We didn’t utilize the gym but you must walk through it to get to the pool. It appears to be well suited for a good workout with modern clean weight lifting and aerobic equipment. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. It is a true gem and I will highly recommend it to any family and friends traveling to Rouen. Thank you for our most special stay during out week in France!

In the center, big rooms (for France), big bathrooms. Several times I wasn't greeted when I walked past the reception which made me feel a bit unwelcome.

The building and the courtyard are so amazing that I advise you to take a minute and visit even if you're not staying at the hotel.
Being located within walking distance from everything and given the beautiful medieval building of the hotel itself, staying at this hotel made our visit very immersive.
