Beautiful hotel in a beautiful town. So close to the gates of Chateau Rambouillet. Rooms were so spacious & luxurious. Staff were lovely & the outdoor terrace was a joy to sit out and enjoy a relaxed drink. Will definitely be back. Loved it!

(comfortable im summer) .breakfast is the best of all Rambouillet hotels. location is central to shopping area and 2 min to castle and nice park. public parking is only free during the night.

It's a very good hotel but the price seems a little bit high for what they offer.

My boyfriend travels 3 weeks out of each month for work and I tag along on the European trips. That said, he wants a hotel with an accommodating staff which makes him feel right at home. We had nothing but problems with the staff at Hotel Mercure in Rambouillet. With the exception of one front desk associate, the other women were very rude and condescending. Even the manager was unapproachable. I know it was not the language barrier, as most of them spoke English just fine. I watched as the staff greeted other members as they walked in. We rarely received a "Bonjour" from any of them. One particularly rude employee (I did not catch her name, she was blonde) approached me in a very degrading manner and told me that I hung laundry in my window and that is forbidden. I understand someone lived in a flat next door and complained about me hanging a shirt in the window (someone call the police, I just wanted to air dry a shirt and save a trip to the laundromat!) that's fine, ask me in a nice manner to not hang laundry in the window. There is no need to talk down to me, I am a CUSTOMER. Keep in mind my boyfriend had two other co-workers staying as well, so we were bringing in plenty of business, yet they treated us this way. When I asked for a taxi to the train station, the manager told me this is not possible because it is too close of a drive from the hotel. So I have to haul two large luggages and two carry-ons by myself on cobblestone sidewalks? It is a 15 minute walk which is fine without luggage. I had enough at that point. They eventually called me a taxi when I spoke with a different employee. And although we hung the DO NOT DISTURB sign up every single day, the housekeeping entered our room. What is the point of a Do Not Disturb sign? I am not one to complain and I typically write reviews if the service was outstanding, but this place should recognize their unacceptable customer service approach. My bf and his co-workers were working in Chartes, and the only reason we stayed here is so I had a short train ride into Paris. I feel guilty that I am the reason we stayed at this hotel. The rooms are OK, larger rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor. The hotel reeks of deodorizer. On a positive note, the town of Rambouillet is lovely, the gardens and chateau are a sight to see, and there are delicious restaurants all over town.
