Interesting to experience the environment where he lived and worked. Very few pieces of significance are exhibited however

The small mansion is a great one, the view from the balcony amazing. The garden is great for a walk and beside you can see the amazing art created by Renoir.

Small museum with some pieces, but a great sense of place... it feels like being in a Renoir painting. Well documented in both French and English, and easily worth an hour of your time. Hard to get to by foot, however- narrow road with no sidewalks.

This is an enormous, gorgeous home by any standards, and has been lovingly maintained and restored. There is a lift in the house, good as there are three stories. The views are wonderful, and many times you can look out over the landscape and see exactly what he was painting. The grounds have been thoughtfully maintained, with statuary in the gardens. His work with other painters is highlighted, and some of their work, relevant to Renoir's home, work, and family life is on display here as well. This is a must for anyone who loves Renoir and Impressionism. Buy the ticket with the entrance to the Grimaldi and save money.

A special time with my sister visiting all the homes and studios of the Impressionists. We designed our own art tour in the south of France. We played in Renoir's studio dreaming and pretending we were living in this era. Dancing around like silly sisters only to discover we were on camera when we returned downstairs. The gardens and yard are beautiful and again a wonderful place to let your mind wander back in time and enjoy some of Renoir's work.
