Normally i'm Not writing reviews, but this restaurant deserves to be confronted with my guest experrience. Service can make or brake this experience. Offcourse Food has to Be Good. Service is far below avarage. Unmotivated personal, smoking at the bar, leave you waiting for drinks, forgetting things. Food was a 6+. Atmosphere of the location is an 9 but you can Not always lean on this. Pump Some energy in this joint. Hier professional motivaties personell and it will double in succes!

From the menu we were a little worried as it was not written to impress but when the plates began to arrive it was clear how the Saint Jean had earned the praises of those who anticipated us.

We got the €28 meal to share cause we weren't very hungry. It came with 2 decent sized fish but they had tons of bones. Well prepared and seasoned though. It came with a side of mashed sweet potatoes which was nice.

For dessert we got the soup de fraise which was great.

Had lunch here from the "snack" menu. Both our sausage and frites and leg of duck and frites were generous plates. Great value for money, fast service, great view of the castle and staff that helped us with our very poor french. Recommended.

Skip this place. Appetizer was well overcooked. Of the 3 main dishes, only one was good. One was sent back as inedible. We were charged half the cost of the dish that was sent back even though it had barely been touched (2 bites). There are too many amazing restaurants in the immediate area to take a risk with this one. Hugely disappointing, overpriced and mediocre at best. Skip this place.

Delicious food, and in what a unique setting! My salad came with an enormous amount of cheese (16€), which I couldn't even finish! If you have the city pass, they give you a small glass of wine to start. Very lovely meal and quick, attentive service.
