We have just returned from a fantastic week staying at Le Verger du Barrail and cannot rate this gite highly enough. The property is of a very high standard, equipped with everything you could possibly want and more besides and the spacious grounds are well tended and cared for. There are lots of little touches throughout that make the gite feel like home from the minute you step foot inside and the whole feel of the place is comfortable and welcoming. We were a party of 13 adults and there was ample space both inside and out for us to be together as a whole or to find our our own individual space.
The Spa is an added bonus and a fantastic facility and the heated outdoor pool was plenty large enough for all of us to enjoy a splash about together.
Set literally amongst the vineyards, the location is peaceful and tranquil and the scenery is stunning, however a car is definitely necessary. There is a very friendly "Epicerie" a couple of minutes drive away (or a lovely 30 minute stroll) where you can buy fresh croissants and bread every morning, along with other basic provisions.
We will definitely return to this gite - thanks to Deborah and Richard who are on-hand yet perfectly discreet and have been lovely to deal with both before and after our stay.

FAB-U-LOUS! What a great find. We were having a family reunion (grandparents, grown-up children and grandchildren - aged 1 - 78) and we all loved it. The owners were especially helpful and knowledgeable on the local area. We are already planning our return!
