I popped up here at 3pm lots of non skiers at that time of day though the wait was only one car 15 minutes and the same on the way down. It seems there are no marked pistes from both stations so I'm not really sure what insurance you'd need. I think most insurance policies only cover on piste. Heard a few guys dismiss that saying your guides insurance would cover you but a rescue helicopter bill running into tens of thousands wouldn't be fun.
Lovely views though and well worth the visit.

It claims to be the highest attraction in Europe.

It had been over twenty years since our last visit and we were not disappointed. Huge improvements to access and walkways enabling even better viewing. Highly recommended.

Epic! Long waits... get there really early or order a ticket online otherwise you will be waiting for ~2 hours. But, all worth it. If you do decide to get in line for a ticket, theres plenty of stores, bars and restaurants to visit in the town within walking distance. Try to plan to go on a clear day for amazing views. Ofcourse its pretty cold on top so bring a jacket or sweater

Such an incredible place. Unique in the world. A great view on the Mont Blanc but not only: on all the mountains. 3800 meters is quite something. Make sure to have warm clothes and coats. If you feel like skiing, the Valle Blanche is an incredible place. Make sure to have a guide, because you are going on your own responsability. But it is the most amazing place to ski. Take your camera; only skiers can see this. Really something to do in a lifetime if you know how to ski.
