Small unassuming and very personable. Croissants were out of this world! Staff was very sweet even with the folks who could not speak French. Apple turnovers not super sweet made perfectly.prices were modest considering the quality. Place is so popular if you don't get there by eight you may not find any croissants.

Pretty good walk from St Augustine but worth it. Sells out quickly so if you get there past 9am, your best bet is to visit @11-11:30am when their new batch of goodies are ready.

Our bread with covered egg was a bit burnt (seriously black looking), and for the rest the tastes and textures do not justify the prices, unfortunately. Also, we were given the wrong change and nobody ever mentioned a 'sorry', showing a bit of a disengagement with the customer and his comfort.

Top-shelf croissants and pastries. They opened at what appeared to be a random time each morning, like a lot of shops in Paris. Service was friendly enough when speaking basic French.

Amazing pastries. The staff were super helpful given my limited French.

Sweet little bakery shop with sweet staff! They help you pick everything out and it is all delicious! The chocolate filled croissant was delicious! A must if you go. I recommend having money on hand as there is a minimum to place things on a card.

Great bread! Amazing flavor and all natural. Pain Poilane is the bread of France. Their oven downstairs is 300 years old and still used today.

I love stopping by here for an apple pastry when I'm in the area. The bread is wonderful as well; i always bring some home. The best bread in Paris in my opinion.

I enjoyed this spot, albeit not much was left when I stopped by. This is supposed to be one of the best shops in Paris! Michael Symon stopped by here while in Paris.

Tiny bakery with fantastic service. I had pain au chocolat, although I've had better but I'm sure they offer something outstanding. Will definitely go back to try out other baked goods. Funny thing, I met Owen Wilson here - getting his afternoon croissant, a weird experience indeed.
