The shower and toilet block is not very clean, with simple things like soap not being provided in the toilets (one camper left a note about the soap dispenser being empty but all that happened was the note was removed by the "cleaning" staff the next day).

We stayed at "Camping Isle Verte" for 2 weeks in June 2014. Excellent location next to the river and 300 metres to Montsoreau village centre. Excellent site, with mature trees, pitches just large enough for caravan, awning and car, Good clean wash blocks (toilets are french style - bowls but no seats). Nice pool and Bar. Wifi ok - weekly rates. Plenty to do near by. Good walks - well signed in the Alpine style - Walk Maps in Tourist Board Office in village. Friendly owner and staff, some could speak English. 4 months after our stay we were at the NEC Caravan Show and the Owner recognised us! Wow!

Nous ne garderons pas un bon souvenir de ce camping. Bien situé dans Montsoreau, nous choisissons un emplacement en bordure de Loire (supplément de 1€/jour), sous de grands platanes et frênes. Le soir de notre arrivée, un orage avec de fortes rafales de vent fait tomber de grosses branches d'arbres qui ont frôlé la caravane.... plus de peur que de mal, pas de dégâts ! La deuxième nuit, nos deux vélos (vélos cadenassées et tout neufs) disparaissent !! Ce qui nous a interpellé, c'est l'indifférence du responsable du camping. A aucun moment, ce Monsieur est venu vers nous pour, au moins nous demander comment nous allions. Le bien-être et la sécurité des campeurs ne semblent pas être sa préoccupation. Nous pensions que peut-être, il ferait un petit effort commercial sur la facture. Pas du tout mais nous avons refusé de payer le supplément de 1€/jour pour cet emplacement qui aurait mérité une assurance spéciale !!!

We stayed here 6 nights (pre-booked from the UK). The site is next to the river and the Velo a Loire cycle route. If you are self sufficient you might be fine but if you use any of the site services be ready to be disappointed!

Another visit.. We have stayed at l isle verte a number of times and hope to again in the future.

Finally please be aware that there are a LOT of flies at this site, especially at dusk, and pigeons everywhere. Expect to have to give your vehicle a very thorough cleaning when you leave and think twice before opening any roof windows on a hot evening - our skylights were well splattered!

Camping propre. Il y a qu'un seul local sanitaire et plus d'éclairage après 23h00 pour les douches.
Structure gonflable et trampoline pour les enfants.
Animations pas terrible pour les enfants.
Piscines bien avec une pataugeoire.
Point négatif avec l'éclairage du garagiste d'en face qui reste allumé toute la nuit et éclaire toute la partie gauche du camping.

Peaceful and restful campsite. Lovely clean and peaceful site in a beautiful setting for sightseeing, walking and cycling. Sanitary block always clean and with good supply of hot water.Pitch size and access good.Shame that the office is shut over a 2 hour lunch period as happens in much of France as this always seems to be the time we end up arriving!! Which means sitting around in a queue to book in with others that have the same problem with timing. It would be nice to be able to get on a site for lunch rather than spread your journey time by stopping unnecessarily on the way.

There is an on site restaurant but it is expensive with deceitful staff. We tried one of their self cook meals and selected the seafood one. However the fish was served with the skin upwards so we only discovered later they had substituted a cheap white fish for the salmon specified on the menu. With no staff around we continued with the rest of the meal - in retrospect we should have refused the whole lot because they refused to give any discount for not providing what was stated on the menu. Also portion sizes were small but the price was high.

Nice location. Spacious pitches. Planned stay 2 nights. No hot water to wash dishes. Tried to discuss with management but could not care less and hid in office. Shame. Site quiet. €30 per night don't think expectation to expect some hot water is unreasonable.

Great campsite. Great location good size pitches we did pay for a premium pitch which is well worth it overlooking the Loire
