The last straw was showing them that we had, in writing, confirmation of the stay and the price. We were told "Those aren't our prices, I don't know where you got those", to which we replied "from the email response that came from your email account...". We were told we were out of luck and to go try to find a nearby field to camp in after we had used their shower facilities.

Just the most iconic location, perfect base for cycling.

This cute little hotel is situated just at the beginning of the famous Alpe d'Huez climb. Since a couple of years it's been runned by (Scottish) Chris and (English) Judy who are very friendly and helpful!
I've stayed here in 2010 and 2011 for 3 nights and will have no doubts to say yes again if I will need a place to stay in that area.

Upon arrival, we tracked down some staff who told us they had given our spot away. Maybe that's fair enough since we never directly spoke that we'd be late. There weren't any extra camp sites, however there was a large open space where other tents were pitched. We asked if we could set up there and park somewhere else, but were told "No, that grass area is for cars, not tents". Our argument of 'but you've already told us all spaces are filled so there won't be any more cars coming in..." wasn't convincing enough.

The grounds looked nice and it's well-situated for an Alpe D'Huez ascent, however the service level was abysmal and they seemed to care little at all about our needs as confirmed customers of theirs. Would never consider them again based on this poor experience.

Perfecte plaats voor de start van een toer of wandeltocht
Chalets zijn ruim, goed onderhouden en prima ingericht.
Vriendelijke Engels sprekende receptie.
Mooi zwembad.
