HOUSE

Last week, no neighbors so relatively quiet.

The house is advertised with a barbecue. In reality this is a kind of iron ring, mounted on a wooden column, I had to buy a roster so the coals would stay in place. With that adjustment it worked reasonably well.

Ce petit chalet est très bien équipé. Le poêle à pellet. le lambris et les poutres apparentes , donne tout de suite une ambiance chaleureuse qui, lorsque l'on rentre du ski, avec des températures extérieures très faibles, font du bien et nous aident à nous poser et nous détendre. Les propriétaires sont très disponibles. A l'écoute et ont aménagé le chalet avec goût.

The full lot has 3 houses, one is occupied by the owner, two houses are for rent and relatively close together (15 meters).

End of 2nd week 2 couples with children shouting and crying all the time.

The house has a pellet burner for heating and there is an electric utility in the bathroom for heating.

In the village there are two shops we used; one is a vegetable shop that also has a small collection of bread. The other one is a very large bakery, it however is closed on Thursday .

Unfortunately we were greeted on our first day with a really horrible smell in the kitchen area. After discussing with the owner it seems that the previous tenants have tried to bake a cheesecake, which obviously went very wrong. The smell was very hard too get rid off, even after 3 weeks we would still get an occasional whiff; really nauseating .

Buildings are in a domestic neighborhood, so during the day noise from lawn mowers, wood cutting, house repairs etc.

Rapport qualité prix du Chalet Myrtilles au top. Haut niveau de prestation et les propriétaires sont charmants. La région regorge d'activités si votre but n'est pas le ski. Très bon souvenir pour nous.

The chalet is a 2 floor, 4 room (3 bedrooms) detached house, which sleeps max 11 people.

We stayed 3 weeks in this house. The owner greeted us on the first day, but did not contact us after that during our stay.

The town has a small swimming pool, but not much more. We did a lot of nature walks, which was very nice and the local tourist agency has some good maps of various walks.

Next to the bakery is a nice crêperie where we occasionally had lunch and 1 evening a dinner.

There are 6 garden seats, but they are more vertical sunbed type of seats. For dining there is a picnic table on the patio.

Kitchen and living room are 1 room, 2 toilets, although the one upstairs is more of a closet, with very limited seating space and privacy; it has a plastic folding door.

In response to the description that this was a quiet environment:

Bathroom with 2 sinks and a decent shower (there is a second shower in the bathroom, sized for children).

Noisy neighbors in first week (up until 2 , 3 am) with lots of loud discussions and alcohol.

Review Chalet “Myrtilles”

From a utility perspective the house is fully equipped with dishwasher , washing machine, oven, full size refrigerator and small freezer. Lots of pans and pots, microwave, steam cooker and coffeemaker.

SURROUNDINGS

The swimming pool is shown in pictures (to be honest not mentioned in description) , but in reality it does not exist (there is a small empty artificial pond, which might have been a water playground in the past).

Also I recommend to visit “Europa Park” near Freiburg. It is a 2 hour drive but the park brings good fun with roller coasters and many rides and shows for all ages. Much cheaper than Disneyland and just as much fun.

Très bien . Joli confortable. Il ne manque rien. Juste un petit bémol. Literie trop dur est oreillers pas assez épais.

Unfortunately, there were no comfortable seats in the house, just 12 table seats and 1 bench.

Wifi was free and very good. TV with satellite, but unfortunately no access to canal plus, so all paid content was not accessible.

The beds are not that good, especially ground floor bedroom. We tried double mattresses, but it did not help. Also the beds are quite short (I am 1.90 meter, and my feet were outside the bed).

AROUND THE HOUSE

There is a small playpen next to house we were in, with swings and slide. The lot also has a large indoor game room with table tennis, and foosball table, also a covered trampoline.
