I asked explicitly the total price when I ordered the car by phone. When I was at the office to pick up the car they told me I had to pay 55 euros extra. This is the second time that has happened.

J'ai loué pour le travail une jeep pour 3 jours. Accueil très sympa d'un jeune homme qui nous a accompagné jusqu'à la voiture, tout expliqué, tout examiné.
Service parfait et retour idem.

We picked up our Hertz rental in Versailles to drive to Blois area to see the chateaux at the end of May 2016. After we left the Loire Valley, we headed towards Toulouse to drop off our rental. We felt confident using an American company use to American drivers and ways.
Even though we had a big highway map, Hertz didn't have local Versailles map to show the way to the connection to major routes of our destination. The GPS went in and out of service, and became a nuisance.
We Google the drop off point near the train station before we left home, and assumed there would be a nice sign with familiar logo "Return your rentals here." but there was no sign.
I jumped out of the car on a rainy day, and I stopped and ask a local delivery man in my American High School French where the return point was, and he told me go inside the station and look for the rental desk. Rental desk said return for rental was on the third floor of parking garage, and still no exterior sign on this building either. After pushing car to peak endurance, the car stalled on the tight second floor ramp.
We were fortunate to find two nice Hertz employees at the desk inside, while my husband circled the building waiting for instructions, but our experience would have run smoother with better signs and more complete instructions.
Driving in Europe is now a two person job!
